Ceramic Effect
It is an effect that imitates the ceramic surface.
The application of the process following the guidelines of the notes that we describe in the process, is important for the achievement of the result.
CERAMIC EFFECT PROCESS
Step 1: Preparation of the support
Sanding of the support with grit lower tan 150.
Application of a layer of 250 – 300 g/m2 of PU Primer or Transparent Polyester or coloured.
Let dry.
Application of a layer of 250 – 300 g/m2 of PU Primer or Transparent Polyester or coloured.
Let dry.
Step 2: Application of the primer for the ceramic effect
Sanding of previous primer with grit 280 – 320.
Application of a layer of 120 g/m2 of AN-1790 (colour can be mixed).
Let dry for 24 hours.
Application of a layer of 120 g/m2 of AN-1790 (colour can be mixed).
Let dry for 24 hours.
Step 3: Application of the ceramic effect top-coat
Without sanding.
Application of a layer of 100 – 200 g/m2 of the mix CQ-30/XX at 50 % RP-1200.
More grammage = less number of cracks, but of bigger size.
Less grammage = more number of cracks, but of smaller size.
If the application gets to the support a bit more moist = less number of cracks, but of bigger size.
If the application gets to the support a bit more dry = more number of cracks, but of smaller size.
Application of a layer of 100 – 200 g/m2 of the mix CQ-30/XX at 50 % RP-1200.

Step 4: Topcoat
Apply the process of selected topcoat according to the necessities of the customer.
